    Description

    A very rare antique Russian malachite stamp box with gilt bronze mounts, circa 1900. The stepped body with gilt bronze mounts, the cover with two hinged lids, one set with a Russian Imperial Postal Department red four kopek stamp, the other with a green two kopek stamp, the lids opening to reveal gilded compartments for stamps, the base of each level with gilt Greek key mount, raised on lion's paw feet.
