Presenting a Most Exquisite Hand Painted Royal Copenhagen FLORA DANICA "Salix Polaris Wahlenb"
Cup & Saucer
for your auction pleasure.  The cup is 3
7/8" wide X 2 5/8" tall and the saucer is 5 1/2
" wide.
From one of the last luxury services still in existence from the 18th century, this pattern is perhaps the world's most prestigious dinnerware pattern still being made today. The Flora Danica pattern is one of the most original and inspired products of the European art porcelain industry from the golden age of hand painted porcelain. This pattern has been in production for more than 200 years.
The cup is decorated with a finely rendered floral spray of a blooming "Salix Polaris Wahlenb".  And the back bears a hallmark dating this particular cup to circa 1968.. "20/3597".  The matching saucer is dated the same.
And we are happy to report that the condition of each piece remains excellent indeed with no apparent signs or use or wear. Each delicate serrated tooth has been very well loupe inspected under a 10X jeweler's lamp and no nips are present.  And no scratches, paint faults, gold gilding wear or other flaws as well mar this most beautiful botanical set.
No hairlines to the delicate twig handle..
Many of the Flora Danica pieces from this estate collection still have the round plastic "Royal Copenhagen" stickers affixed to the back side.  Possibly, these estate pieces were all used only for display purposes -- because they are all flawless in condition!!
Absolutely no flaws are present to this most glorious hand painted set whatsoever!
A lovely addition to your well preserved & elegantly appointed table, indeed!!

Shipping has been estimated.  Cost of bubble wrap, box(es), tape and other supplies have been added into the shipping & handling charges.  If the estimated shipping cost is in excess of the actual charge with supplies, I will issue you a refund.  However, we under estimate the actual shipping charge for the vast majority of the items that we ship.
I guarantee everything I sell unconditionally if you are not satisfied. I do, however, require that the item be returned in no more than 30 days following arrival and be returned in original condition. I also request that you notify me by email within 3 days of receipt of item. I do want you to be satisfied.
In the case of a return, we pay for shipping one way only.  All items are from a smoke free environment.
