Vintage B&M Railroad Pick Axe Adz Boston & Maine Decorated Handle ~Nice!

Description

Visually striking old adz/pickaxe from the Boston & Maine Railroad. I don't see a mark on the iron though it's possibly there and is in very good condition with expected dings from use and surface rust from age. The head is a little loose, as is typical. Handle has wonderful paint and patina and B&M RR applied lettering -- looks like electrical tape type of material was used for the lettering. No idea of the age but definitely old and displays beautifully.
Measures about 36" long and the blade is 12.5" wide.
